Late Faiz Ahmed, Director, Governing Board of ILO is the Father of Mrs. Hameeda Rahman & her mother is Late Begum Faizunnessa. She was born on February 08, 1954 at Narayanganj though her village is “Shaherkhali”, P.S. Mirsarai, Dist. Chittagong. Her present & permanent address at House No.8 NE(I), Road No.80, Gulshan-2, Dhaka-1212. They are total three brothers & three sisters & she is the youngest one of their brothers & sisters.
She completed her education SSC from Banglabazar Girls High School, HSC from Central Womens College, Bachelor of Arts from Eden College & Masters in Political Science from the University of Dhaka in the year 1975.
Apart from education, she was completed 5 years Diploma in Songs from Chayanot and Clasical songs from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. She was engaged in Kochikachar Mela from her childhood and as well as cultural program. She has two years experience as a teacher in Kindergarten School.
She married with Mr. Mahbubur Rahman in 1980 and they have 2 lovely children namely Ms. Shegufta Mahbub, PhD. and Mr. Rizwan-ur Rahman. She has one son-in-law Mr. Ayaz Rabbi and daughter-in-law Mrs. Aneeta Azad Rahman. She has three grand children Myra Ayaz Rabbi, Rashdaan Mahbubur Rahman & Raania Rahman.
